The M249S PARA bring to life a Military Classic for the everyday shooting enthusiast. Based on the M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) this rifle has been carefully created to keep the form factor of the legendary weapon but in a modified semi auto only variant. This Rifle fires from a closed bolt that is driven by the robust gas piston system that especially with proper care keeps this rifle running. the rifle comes with a hard chrome lined chamber and comes in the adaptable 1:7 twist that can handle a variety of ammunition. For getting that ammunition into the rifle the M249S feeds like the Original SAW from either a 200 round belt feed by opening the top cover or the magazine well for taking Standard AR-15 magazines. The rifle is equipped with the same sights as the original and comes with the picatinny railed dust cover for adding optics. The M249S also has a folding bipod and removable heat shield. The M249S also has the Same quick change barrel capability as its military cousin allowing for long shooting sessions.
